Product Detail

FeCrAl alloy strip is a ferritic, iron-based resistance material made primarily from iron (Fe), chromium (Cr), and aluminum (Al). It’s widely recognized for its exceptional oxidation resistance, high resistivity, and excellent stability at elevated temperatures. When exposed to heat, FeCrAl forms a dense and adherent aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃) layer that protects it against further oxidation and corrosion — a feature that makes it ideal for electric oven heating elements and other high-temperature applications.

Compared to NiCr alloys, FeCrAl offers higher service temperatures (up to 1400°C), lower density, and better cost efficiency, though it is slightly more brittle. DZX manufactures FeCrAl alloy strips using advanced melting, hot rolling, and precision cold rolling techniques, ensuring uniform mechanical strength, consistent resistivity, and an ultra-smooth surface that enhances heating element performance and assembly quality.

The heating material industry is evolving rapidly as industries worldwide move toward energy-efficient, electric-based heating systems. With governments and companies emphasizing carbon reduction and sustainability, electric ovens, furnaces, and dryers are increasingly replacing traditional gas-fired systems.

This transition is driving the demand for long-lasting, oxidation-resistant alloys such as FeCrAl. Due to its ability to sustain prolonged high-temperature exposure without losing resistance stability, FeCrAl has become a preferred choice in the home appliance, industrial processing, and clean energy sectors.

At DZX, we’ve observed that global manufacturers now prefer FeCrAl strips for heating element production because of their high formability, surface quality, and longevity. As automation and precision manufacturing continue to grow, FeCrAl’s balance of resistivity and mechanical strength fits perfectly into the trend of low-maintenance, high-efficiency heating systems.

Article: FeCrAl Alloy Strip — The Reliable Heating Material Behind Efficient Electric Ovens

In modern electric heating systems, FeCrAl alloy strip plays a critical role. Its combination of high resistivity, oxidation resistance, and cost-effectiveness makes it one of the most dependable materials for electric ovens, industrial heaters, and high-temperature furnaces.

At DZX, we’ve seen a major industry shift toward FeCrAl-based heating components as manufacturers seek materials that perform well under continuous heating cycles while keeping maintenance costs low. The alloy’s aluminum content allows it to form a stable aluminum oxide layer, which not only resists oxidation but also enhances durability — this is why FeCrAl strips last significantly longer than traditional materials in high-temperature air environments.

Our FeCrAl strips are produced through vacuum melting and multi-stage rolling, resulting in excellent flatness and precise thickness control. This precision makes them suitable for coiled, punched, or embedded heating elements used in electric ovens, dryers, and furnaces. Every production batch undergoes strict resistivity, hardness, and tensile testing, ensuring consistent performance across varying temperatures.

One major advantage of FeCrAl over NiCr is its superior temperature tolerance. While NiCr alloys typically max out at around 1200°C, FeCrAl can operate at up to 1400°C, making it the better choice for applications that demand sustained high heat, such as baking ovens, metal sintering, and laboratory furnaces. The higher operating limit also means less frequent element replacement, translating into lower maintenance and downtime for end users.

The energy efficiency aspect of FeCrAl is another major reason for its popularity. The alloy’s higher resistivity allows for better energy conversion and more uniform heat distribution, which is essential for oven and heater designs. DZX engineers collaborate closely with clients to customize alloy grades, strip dimensions, and resistance values to perfectly match their system requirements.

From an industry perspective, the demand for FeCrAl strips continues to grow as manufacturers move toward eco-friendly and electric-based heating technologies. Whether it’s household ovens or industrial dryers, there’s a consistent need for heating materials that combine longevity, performance, and sustainability. FeCrAl meets all three criteria — it operates cleanly without emissions, retains strength even after long-term heating, and offers excellent oxidation control.

DZX’s manufacturing process ensures not only mechanical precision but also metallurgical excellence. We maintain tight control of alloy purity, grain structure, and resistivity throughout production, allowing us to deliver strips that meet the performance demands of today’s advanced heating systems. Our FeCrAl strips are available in several grades, including 0Cr21Al6Nb, 0Cr23Al5, and 0Cr27Al7Mo2, suitable for both low- and high-temperature environments.

What truly sets DZX apart is our customer-focused production model. We offer quick customization, short lead times, and full technical support for heating system designers and manufacturers. Clients value our ability to deliver consistent quality, on-time supply, and material traceability, especially for large-scale industrial projects.
